Firefox vs. Safari – Diese Frage haben sich bestimmt schon viele gestellt.
Seit Jahren nutze ich Firefox und war bisher totalzufrieden; bis heute! Nur immer mal wieder ein paar Minuten Safari angucken reicht nicht, also habe ich heute den Umstieg gewagt und werde die nächsten Tage über Firefox geschlossen lassen!
Gründe:
Firefox verbrauchte auf meinem MacBook im Regelbetrieb knapp 400MB an Arbeitsspeicher. Safari liegt jetzt bei 286MB. Auch wenn der Unterschied nicht all zu groß sein sollte, fühlt sich Safari wesentlich performanter an.

Pimp my Safari: Um eine ähnliche Situation zu schaffen und um das gewohnte Arbeiten beibehalten zu können, habe ich Safari gepimt :)
Ich habe nur zwei Erweiterungen installiert: Glims und Safari AdBlocker . Die beiden Erweiterungen haben den Vorteil, dass Safari im 64 bit Modus rennt! Eine weitere Erweiterung, welche direkt und nicht in Safari läuft ist: Xmarks for Safari Ich mag meine Bookmarks synchron.
